We usually define it as wood veneer. All wall panels with wood grain effects on the surface are collectively called wood veneer. Such as solid wood board, wood aluminum board, wood veneer, Keding board, etc.
But in a narrow sense, wood veneer can be divided into artificial wood veneer and natural wood veneer. Artificial wood veneer is a wood veneer decorative board made of artificial wood board as the base material through the veneer process.

The production process of veneer mainly includes the following steps:
Processing logs: steaming, trimming, and removing edges of logs.
Making veneers: Cut the processed logs into the ultra-thin cortex and collect them.
Pasting veneers: trimming veneers, sewing edges with hot melt glue, hot pressing in the later stage, the temperature reaches the melting point of hot melt glue, and almost no glue can be seen in the finished product, avoiding veneer cracking. After the veneer processing is completed, glue is applied on the base layer to prepare for the later hot pressing glue application. Usually, the base layer is a multi-layer board or a density board. After applying the base layer glue, the veneer is pasted.
Hot pressing glue application: put the pasted veneer and base layer into the hot pressing glue application machine. Then turn on the machine and start applying glue, just like the principle of hamburgers, press up and down, and the veneer is ready after a few minutes.
Surface treatment: Finally, the glued veneer is edge-sealed and finished with finishing paint, and the whole veneer is made.
There are two common installation processes for wood veneers, namely gluing and dry hanging.
Among them, gluing is to use nail-free glue (liquid nails) to fix the wood veneer on the substrate. This fixing method is the most common and is suitable for almost all small-area, 3~9mm wood veneers.
Dry hanging is the installation method of fixing the wood veneer with dry hanging parts (positive and negative hanging parts). This fixing method is suitable for larger and thicker wood veneers, and it is also more convenient to disassemble and replace the wood veneer later.
Durability: Metal hangers are better than wood hangers, and wood hangers are better than gluing
Cost considerations: Metal hangers are expensive, and gluing is cheap
Safety: When the floor height is less than 3500mm and the area is not large, both methods can be used.
Usually gluing is the most commonly used installation method, and specific projects need to be considered.
